Dr Shaneel Shastri is an accomplished Specialist Orthodontist with almost two decades of clinical experience as a dental professional. He is a leading expert in his field as well as an owner and principal orthodontist at The Look Orthodontists, a large private orthodontic practice.

Dr Shaneel Shastri’s journey with The Look Orthodontics began as a teenager, when he had his orthodontic treatment here. Inspired by that experience, he went on to pursue a Bachelor of Dental Science from The University of Melbourne, as well as a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics from James Cook University.

This exceptional foundation has been complemented by extensive training at renowned departments in Australia and internationally. These include: The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Dental Hospital of Victoria, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital - Taiwan, and the National Dental Centre - Singapore.

He has been awarded a Fellowship in the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) as well as Membership in his specialist field of Orthodontics. In addition, Dr. Shaneel Shastri has been certified by the Australian Orthodontic Board (AOB).

With expansive training covering all areas of orthodontics, Dr. Shaneel's particular expertise are in treatments combining orthodontics and jaw surgery - a treatment he himself experienced as a teenager.

Shaneel returned to The Look in 2015 — this time as an Orthodontist, not a patient—and is now proud to be one of the owners of the practice, alongside his partners.

• Clear Aligners such as Invisalign

• Orthognathic (Jaw) surgery, including surgery for obstructive sleep apnoea

• Complex dental treatment plans

• Appropriate early orthodontic intervention for children

Dr. Shaneel Shastri is currently pursuing a Master's in Business Administration and expand his expertise in leadership and business in healthcare models.
